John Stillman
CV

John Stillman was born in Carshalton Surrey in 1968. He is completely self taught and has been drawing and painting ever since he can remember. John has worked as an illustrator for books and as a graphic artist in advertising in London. He now paints full time as a professional artist.
The many subjects John paints are landscapes and scenes of Surrey through to marine subjects concentrating on light and atmosphere.
John has had six successful one man shows. His pictures can also be seen at Friths Gallery, Carshalton, Park Lane Fine Arts and Lincoln Joyce Fine Art.
John has also exhibited with the following galleries The Wold Galleries, The Hicks Gallery, The David Curzon Gallery and The Bourne Gallery.
John is represented by Lincoln Joyce Fine Art in Bookham, Surrey.
As well as his solo exhibitions he has also exhibited at the
Royal Society of Marine Artists and The Royal Institute of Oil Painters at the Mall Galleries in London and The Royal Academy in London.
He is also a full member of the Chelsea Arts Society and the Croydon Arts Society where he exhibits his pictures annually.
