Cityscape painter

Louiseā€™s work is about the transient moment; the rapidly changing light, colour and seasons and how it transforms people, buildings and objects. She always works en plein air and mainly in pastel which suits the fragility of time. She studied at the City and Guilds and CCAT and is a member of the Small Paintings Group and is on the council of the Chelsea Art Society.

Current projects include iconic London, events and life on the Thames. Crowds often feature, from Hungerford Bridge to Stamford Bridge or along the banks of the Ganges. A highlight this year has been a painting trip to Varanasi.

She exhibits regularly with Medici Gallery, Cork Street, Surface ICA and has a biannual studio show at Wimbledon Art Studios. Further information about work and commissions can be found on her website www.louisediggle.co.uk where the blog is updated regularly.
